A lone white rhino powering through a dusty landscape like a soldier in the war against extinction. The 24k gold leaf sun symbolic of both the value of the horn and the sunset of the species.
Over 200 hours of drawing has gone into this piece with each crease of skin drawn one at a time using fine archival ink pens then finally shaded with black pastel. 24k gold leaf has been applied by hand. Drawn on Arches hot pressed watercolour paper, drawing size 56cm x 76cm. this piece if framed, the paper is 'floated' in the frame to showcase it's raw edges, with a black backing and black wood frame. The glass is premium Truecolour Glass so has almost no reflection. the outer frame measurements are 73cm x 92cm.
